Yesterday saw the group working on several areas of the western wide glade on the Blue Trail. The photo below shows the group, not resting, but standing clear while Howard felled a tree!
Last Friday we finished clearing the second pond and then dealt with some clearance work on the blue route close to the ancient beech trees.

With Howard back from holiday, we were able to catch up on some chainsawing work on fallen trees.
Last Friday we concentrated on clearing and widening one of the old North-South paths which had not been dealt with since the “Great Storm” of October 2008.
Today the group dedicated most of the morning to digging out old Rhodi roots alongside the entrance drive, where we had cut back the Rhodi last winter. This was really heavy going work!
