The working party on 20th May cleared the obstruction created by contractor’s brash last winter, so it is now possible to walk again between Justice Hill and the Yellow Trail. The gap frames one of the pollarded hornbeams.

There’s a quiet spot in the wood where every year the bluebells appear before the mass in the rest of the wood.

This widely predicted storm caused plenty of work for the group, blocking many paths and leaving a good deal of clearing up which has taken up many of our recent work parties.
